The Alps span eight countries and feature more than half a dozen languages. They range from the east of Austria all the way through Slovenia, Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, France, Italy to the Mediterranean Sea in Monaco. Its cultures are diverse, vibrant and each area is filled with a rich history.
Alpine architecture and design therefore varies greatly throughout the alpine region, but it is united by a respect for the omnipresent natural landscape, a high regard for quality craftsmanship and exceptional architects and designers.
The aim of Alpine Spaces is to curate and showcase the exceptional architecture, design and craftsmanship of the alpine region and champion the makers behind it.
Alpine Spaces was created by Alex Schidlbauer in 2022 and is a new digital publication focusing on architecture and design in the alpine region.
