In the hamlet of Ciaminades in Abtei, Gadertal, the studio of sculptor and farmer Lois Anvidalfarei was seamlessly integrated into the existing farmstead. The new structures—studio, garage, and wood hut—complement the house and barn, creating a cohesive, regionally inspired ensemble. A central courtyard between the buildings provides space for sculpting and creative exchange.

The studio is designed for functionality: a flexible, enclosed workspace under the roof allows for efficient work during winter while minimizing heating needs. Additionally, a crane in the ridge area facilitates the movement and positioning of heavy sculptures.

Special emphasis was placed on sustainable construction, using wood from the property and maximising the owner’s own labor. The result is a studio that not only serves artistic creation but also stands as a testament to regional building culture and craftsmanship.
