Architectural composition
The House E8 am Ammersee is conceived as a hillside ensemble of three distinct volumes. Their informal arrangement allows the buildings to blend seamlessly into the village setting, while shaping outdoor spaces of varied character across the property.

Spatial Organization
The positioning of the garage alongside the main house forms a defined entrance courtyard. Inside, the living areas and bedrooms open generously to the south-facing garden, where a swimming pool and planting create a serene backdrop with sweeping views over Lake Ammersee.

Private retreat
To the north, the dialogue between the main residence and the separate sauna house establishes a more secluded realm. Here, a herb garden and sheltered spaces extend the living environment, offering moments of privacy and retreat within the landscape.

Material expression
Natural materials—oak, limestone, and lime plaster—were chosen to emphasize warmth and tactility indoors. These finishes, paired with expansive openings to the surroundings, strengthen the bond between architecture and its immediate setting.
