Generational Living and Work

The Uelihof brings together residential life and agricultural activity under one roof, accommodating three generations of a farming family. Its spatial organization supports daily cooperation while maintaining a clear separation between shared areas and more private zones, ensuring comfort for all inhabitants.

Spatial Structure and Privacy

A carefully planned internal layout encourages interaction without compromising retreat. Private rooms are arranged to allow quiet and independence, while communal spaces act as connective elements that reflect the collaborative rhythm of farm life and family routines.

Context and Regulations

Located within the historic centre of a small village, the project responds to strict urban and architectural regulations. The design integrates the required volume with precision, balancing contemporary needs with the scale and proportions of its immediate surroundings.

Material Expression and Continuity

Slightly red-pigmented exposed concrete cast in the same larch wood cladding as the facade reference local farmhouse traditions. Solid lower levels and lighter upper floors reinterpret familiar construction methods, creating a dialogue between past and present that reinforces continuity within the village fabric.
