Contemporary Construction

This single-family house in Rinn reinterprets the traditional suburban home through a clear, minimal volume and contemporary timber and concrete construction. Set in Rinn, just outside Innsbruck, it contrasts its typical cheaply-built neighbourhood buildings with regional material choices and a form that reminds us of its alpine setting.

Material Precision

All construction materials were carefully selected from local suppliers, underlining a commitment to sustainability and regional craftsmanship. The facade, composed of vertically arranged timber, was designed to weather naturally over time, allowing the house to blend gradually into its Alpine setting.

Contrast and Cohesion

Inside, exposed concrete ceilings and walls bear the imprint of wooden formwork, creating a tactile dialogue with the black steel and timber elements. Custom shelving and a sculptural staircase add a bespoke quality, balancing raw and refined surfaces in a calm, modern composition.
