Contemporary elegance in the Alps
House R in Kitzbühel reinterprets the idea of alpine luxury through a minimalist lens. Designed by A2 Architektur, the home balances exclusivity with restraint, steering clear of the region’s often overindulgent aesthetic. Instead, it opts for a clean, reduced language that maintains sophistication without excess.

Sculptural interiors with tactile warmth
The interior stands out with custom elements like a wavy ceiling in the dining area that introduces subtle movement and texture. Carefully chosen materials and refined finishes reflect a high level of craftsmanship, enhancing the calm and luxurious atmosphere throughout the residence.

Views that ground the design
Floor-to-ceiling openings frame expansive views over the valley, anchoring the home in its dramatic alpine setting. The seamless visual connection to the surroundings enriches the daily experience of the space, making the landscape a constant presence within the home.

A modern silhouette with local roots
Clad in black shingles and paired with designer furnishings, House R has a bold, cinematic appearance. Yet its gabled roof and moderate scale ensure that it respects the language of traditional alpine structures, integrating confidently without dominating its environment.
