Perched in isolation at Juffinger Jöchl, this historic mountain farmstead overlooks the Brixental valley, undergoing a careful restoration that bridges past and future. The renovation follows a sustainable approach, preserving the heritage of the building while preparing it for generations to come. Layers of past modifications are meticulously analyzed, deconstructed, or redefined, ensuring that the essence of the structure remains intact while being thoughtfully reinforced where necessary.

The project embraces the Alpine tradition of “continuing to build,” integrating new elements in dialogue with the old. This method creates a seamless architectural narrative, where history is neither erased nor imitated but rather extended through considered craftsmanship. The balance of preservation and renewal transforms the farmhouse into a space rich with historical depth, each layer revealing a chapter of its evolving identity.

Through this approach, the farmstead maintains its authenticity while adapting to contemporary needs. The restoration does not merely freeze the building in time but allows it to grow organically, ensuring its relevance in the modern Alpine landscape. The result is a home that respects its origins while standing resilient for the future, embodying the enduring spirit of Alpine architecture.
